Right Front Corner Interior After 1" Box Tube Thru-Bolted Repair
It appears as though the weight of the front of the trailer is resting on the front-top of the trailer when the HILO top
is in the down position. The repair steel seen to the right in the image is 3 feet long and is thru bolted to the underside of
the top logitudinal rail. The steel overlaps the front wood rail so that the front rail cannot thrust upward under
the weight of the top in the fully-lowered position. The unfortunate side-effect is that the top snapped the wood structure
while towing to the destination. In the photo, the bent L bracket that was holding the corner together can also be seen. The
rubber top rests are located to the right out of the image, so that the actual break is about the center of the wood strucutre
between the corner and where the top is resting on the frame rests.
